Imagineers International was initially set up as part of a European project called Innovative Sector Exchange (ISE). It ran for 4 years and was part-financed by the EU Interreg 5A 2 Seas Programme and the European Regional Development Fund.
The project helped small businesses from Kent, East Flanders, West Flanders, France, and the SW of the Netherlands innovate, connect, explore collaborative opportunities and discover international markets.
Seven project partner organisations from the ISE 2 Seas region delivered a range of support activities to help local businesses from different sectors to connect and explore innovation and internationalisation. These services included the formation of smaller and more targeted networking clusters for businesses from the four partner countries.
One of these sector groups was a Creative and Digital cluster, including a diverse range of companies specialising in branding, design, social media, creative technology, motion graphics, and marketing.
Throughout the ISE project, the group had the opportunity to visit several significant events, festivals, conferences and workshops across Europe. This was an incredible opportunity for the members to network, exchange ideas, and ultimately, make lasting connections.
With continued support from the ISE partners, a small group of Digital & Creative Cluster members from across the regions have been working together. This committee has begun the transition for when the ISE Project comes to an end in December 2020 in the form of Imagineer International.
Modelled on a similar organisation launched in Breda in the Netherlands in 2014, the aim is to create a network of like-minded creatives from all backgrounds who want to share knowledge, do business, and make lifelong connections.
